This novel was published in 2004. It describes events in the occupied Dubica during WW II. Hatred, malice, greed and insane darkened mind of the German and Croatian Nazi occupiers and their collaborationists halved full of harmony town on the right bank of the Una river. Old friends and neighbours become sworn enemies, under the military boots and former life turns into ash and dust. Massacres, retribution, mass executions, forced deportation of residents to death camps; treason, collaboration with the occupier are all on one side. On the other side - a new force, grows out of patriotism and develops in a strong resistance movement. There are illegal activities of people from Dubica, who do not want war, but they are forced to be in such evil time.
