The collection of short stories The Call was published in 2004 in Banja Luka. It contains twenty-one stories that explore two deeply connected historical periods: 1941–1945, during the Second World War, and 1991 - 1995, during the Civil War. Through these parallel narratives, the author draws emotional and thematic bridges between generations affected by war.
While the two wars differ in context and scale -one being a global conflict and the other a complex civil war - the stories reveal haunting similarities: the suffering of civilians, the loss of identity, and the resilience of the human spirit. Both eras are marked by fear, sacrifice, and a desperate search for meaning amidst chaos.
